10 pts. best answer. and a thumbs up for anwsering?

Julie asked:

I have asked this MANY times, but I am not getting any good answers! I REALLY NEED HELP!
My family is playing keno next saurday, and I want to have the most clever prize. I have to spend $5, any ideas? thumbs up for all answers and 10 pts for best answer.
BTW– I tried posting this in it’s rightful category, but I did not get any answers!
And if you don’t know what Keno is it’s like bingo. But you play witrh cards, and when you get a Keno, 5 in a row, then you get to pick a prize, which is in a brown paper bag, and so you don’t get to know what it is, and once you pick it, you show everyone and you play MANY rounds and people can steal your prizes and stuff.

Some plastic bangles? Homemade jewellery. A colourful notepad with some handy hints in it (poems/notes about the people you playing with/caricatures of the people your playing with). A holiday brochure…

I love that game where everybody steals the prizes! It’s really exciting!

I found that with adults, something like a bottle of wine is always stolen. Since I don’t think you’re over 21, I think something like candy that everybody would love might be something you could find for $5.
Halloween’s drawing near and you can now buy those big bags of M&Ms that have the little tiny bags inside. They might want to eat it themselves or give it away for Halloween.

Another thing to think about is a mini tool set.

Just go to the nearest Dollar store and buy as much as you can!!!

Have fun!

A stationary kit, make up or homemade cupcakes! Hope it goes well and good luck!

I believe it’s too late for this particular family keno gathering, but keep it in mind for the next one:

Why not reverse the type of gifts and go for a “white elephant” one. (It’s what we call it here in Houston.) Everybody brings something from their house that they want to get rid of for whatever reason. Wrap it, or put it in the brown paper bag as you stated. Whoever gets the keno picks a paper bag and shows it to everybody. The next one who makes a keno has the option of “stealing” what somebody else got or picking their own paper bag. The object of this type of game is to go home with the least ugly gift. A gift can only be “stolen” three times and the last one has to keep it. Note: If a gift is stolen, then that person has to get another one — either one from a paper bag or one from somebody else, in which case that person would then have to choose, or draw a bag.

The laughter at who ends up with what kept our parties going!

By the way, I ended up with a grayish-brown nutbowl in the shape of a pecan. It had a squirrel for a handle…
